Welcome. I assume you are here because you have a job to do, so this site is laid out to help you quickly assess my capabilities. I consider it an advantage having experienced the development from traditional methods to digital during my career in commercial art. The disciplines of traditional art are a great foundation for working with digital media and of course the fundamentals of aesthetics are a constant.

The breadth of my work means it is not possible to categorize it as pure illustration and as in the field of advertising and publishing it is the end rather than the means that counts so commercial art is, although perhaps not so fashionable, probably a more appropriate description of what I do. When photography merges with drawing and 3d modelling and the traditional boundaries between different subject matter and techniques become more blurred it is always best to have an open mind with a willingness to explore the different approaches now-a-days possible. As the saying goes ‘there is more than one way to skin a cat’. This is also a very important consideration when cost effectiveness is essential as it always is in the commercial world. Assessing the work in my portfolio it has always to be borne in mind that everything is produced to both a budget and a time scale.
